Our School Day

 

At Helmsley CP School, we believe a well-structured day helps children feel secure, confident, and ready to learn. Our school day is thoughtfully planned to balance learning, creativity, and play, ensuring every child thrives in a supportive environment.

 

Daily Timetable:

  • 8:30 – Gates Open
    Children and families are welcomed into school to begin the day with a friendly, calm start.

  • 8:45 – School Starts
    Children will be in their classrooms ready to start their learning.

  • 10:15 – 10:30 – Assembly
    A time for the whole school to come together to celebrate achievements, share stories, and reflect on our school values.

  • 10:30 – 10:45 – Break Time
    A short morning break for children to enjoy fresh air, have a snack, and play with friends.

  • 12:00 – 1:00 – Lunch
    Children enjoy a healthy lunch, followed by time to play and relax before the afternoon session.

  • 3:15 – School Finishes
    The school day ends and children are collected, ready to share their day at home.

We deliver a school week of 32.5 hours

Breakfast Club

Breakfast club is available between the hours of 7:45am and 8:45am.  Please contact Mrs Helen Feather for further details.

 

Afterschool wrap around care - There is a private provider situated across the road from the school, Little Years, which offer wrap around care until 6:00pm
