Friends of School 

The Friends of Helmsley School (FOHS) raise money for the pupils of Helmsley School. 

Our aim is to further enhance the education, wellbeing and experiences of our children, families and wider community.  We do this by organising and hosting a number of events and social activities throughout the year.

Friends of Helmsley School (FoHS) is a group of parents, carers, and staff who work together to support and enrich school life through fundraising, community events, and practical help. From summer fairs to school discos, cake sales to Christmas raffles, we organise a range of fun activities throughout the year — all with the aim of raising money to enhance the learning experience for our children.

The funds we raise go directly toward resources, experiences, and extras that fall outside the school’s core budget - such as classroom equipment, educational visits, and playground improvements.

Get Involved

Whether you can spare an hour occasionally or want to be more regularly involved, everyone is welcome! You can join our meetings, volunteer at events, or simply share ideas. It’s a great way to meet other parents and make a positive difference to the school community.
